Aspects of a Christian woman’s fleshly soul that bind
are those practices that stunt or halt
your relationship with God.The soul is comprised of the Will, mind, and emotions.

(These groups are generalizations not formulas) “Dominant mind” defines - people who gravitate towards intellectuals, experts, and those who “know more than they do”; or
- people who identify themselves as intellectuals or experts, who believe they know more than others, and who encourage others to adopt their idealism by embracing their image.
“Dominant emotions” defines - people who gravitate towards people with “callings” and/or people with “self-proclaimed spiritual know-how” and “spiritual experiences”; or
- people who identify themselves as having callings or spiritual know-how and who encourage others to seek spiritual experiences.

How Needy People Influence Each Other
The strong-willed people easily influence the weak-willed people: - Weak-willed people with a dominant emotional life often follow strong-willed people with a dominant emotional life.
- Weak-willed people with a dominant mind often follow strong-willed people with a dominant mind.

How Needy People’s Wills Influence Their Heart Motives
The strength of your individual Will
determines if you ARE influenced or if you DO influence: - Weak-willed people’s genuine but hidden-to-them heart motives:
- I want others to change.
- I am too weak to change.
- I need someone to follow, to “prop me up.”
- Strong-willed people’s genuine but hidden-to-them heart motives:
- I want to change others.
- I have it all figured out.
- I need people to follow me, which “props me up.”
None of these needy people’s souls prosper
because they are not abiding in Christ.(Notice that relationship with God is not necessary for any of these images.)
If you see yourself in any of these images, I pray this series of articles on Images that Bind the Christian Woman and its corollary, Spiritual Growth of a Christian Woman, will release you from these death clothes to His love for you. Instead of believing that you need to mold you relationships and circumstances into you preferred image—either idealism or self-proclaimed spirituality—be transformed by the renewing of your mind through sound doctrine which may offensively challenge the security you find in images but will ultimately release you to love.
