HOMESCHOOLING ARTICLES
Homeschooling Begins with Home
You can find many websites that outline various reasons to begin homeschooling. Most of these reasons have merit, and most of them focus on the child plus a few on the impact on the family as a whole.
But one thing is missing. In these articles, I hope to focus your attention on that one missing thing . . .
Homeschooling is a tool for mom’s growth too.
We moms are children of God! He is our Parent. Just as we decided to guide and teach our children for their benefit, Father-God’s underlying purpose in leading us to that decision is so He can guide and teach us moms . . . for our benefit!
When sin entered the world, we lost the dimension of being able to see God in a physical way; but He came to us in the Person of Christ whose Life we can observe in the Scriptures, and He also sent the Holy Spirit to come alongside us and lead us.
God comes alongside us to grow us through relationships and circumstances. As we struggle with trying to implement Life-giving principles while homeschooling our children—principles we did not see modeled when we were growing up—the Holy Spirit comes alongside us to teach us moms so we can then learn how to come alongside our children and teach them.
Our closest relationships—with our husband and children—as well as the unique circumstances of our homes grow us into more Christlikeness. As we grow into more Christlikeness through abiding, we will become mature—perfect is the Greek word—not sinless but mature.

Through abiding and maturing in our walk with God, we can begin to live without the spirit of fear and/or pride but rather walk in the Spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind.
We will be able to navigate through all the voices beckoning us to follow and hear the still, small Voice of the One Who will set us on the path that will open our eyes to the liberty we have in Christ and will bring growth and/or healing to our souls and our relationships.

As you read the various articles, watch how the Lord uses everyday circumstances and relationships within the underutilized environment of home and be encouraged to . . .
