Throughout the processes described in this parenting series, I pray you have discovered that the hope you have for your children to become firmly established servants of the Lord parallels God’s hope for you, His child!

• Your love for your child taught you that God loves you, His child. This one revelation alone transformed your life, and you began to live from the place of abiding in His love rather than trying to muster up love of your own. His Love and Life flowing through you ministered more efficiently and deeply than you could have asked or imagined.

• As you have abided in Him and built wholesome, meaningful relationships with your children through savoring life together, God has come alongside you, Mom, when you were His struggling child who was trying to make sense of training your young children.

  • He showered His love and grace upon your spiritual growth process so you then could do likewise with your children.

  • He began to teach you proactively from His Word and through His Spirit as the soil of your yielded heart was ready to receive the seeds He was sowing in your life. You then had the responsibility and privilege to tend the garden of your heart through watering and weeding.

• Then He taught you to rest in Him and wait by faith as He produced the fruit from the seeds You sowed by obeying Him.

• As you taught your children to evaluate the messages they were receiving from their outside-the-home relationships and their reading, He taught you, Mom, to discern truth.

  Together you and your children were being established in the Truth, Life, and Love of Christ so neither your children nor you will be tossed about by all the strange teachings available today through the world and through the church.

• The priority of developing the tool of home—bringing your children alongside you and then coming alongside them—strengthened relationships that will continue to grow in profound ways yet unknown to you. You can now look forward with hopeful expectation at what the Lord will do through the yielded hearts and lives of your children and of yourself.

• Your circumstances no longer send you into emotional upheaval, for you have learned to trust the Lord and rest in Him as you rejoice in your unique reality.

He used your relationships and circumstances, as He brought you alongside Him and then came alongside you, so you could become strong in the strength of His might, established in the Lord.
